The mission of the William Wendt Gallery of Art is to provide an unparalleled resource for the preservation, collecting, exhibiting and sales of paintings by William Wendt (1865-1946). An important early California Impressionist artist, William Wendt received some art education in Chicago but was primarily self-taught.

After moving to California, William Wendt's career as an artist blossomed along with his Impressionist style of painting. While his earlier paintings were tranquil and more subdued, his later works evolved to show bold and broad brushstrokes with rich greens and browns. Utilizing the highest professional standards, the William Wendt Gallery of Art provides comprehensive research, conservation, evaluations, framing, sales and acquisition services for your William Wendt artwork.
